The Man... Sebastian IYERE-OYEKPEN 


Sebastian is a Chartered Electrical Engineer (Power and Controls Consultant) with over 30 years of continuous career in the Oil and Gas industry with Chevron, Total and Shell Upstream E&Ps. His work sites/locations for these roles span from the UK (North Sea, Aberdeen, Farnborough), Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Hungary, Belgium, Egypt, Gabon (Libreville, Gamba), Indonesia (Batam), Malaysia, Singapore, Kazakhstan (Atyrau, Tengiz), and so forth  to Lagos (Escravos, Port Harcourt and Lagos). At different times he has been Electrical Technical Authority, Lead Electrical, Senior Electrical, (Lead) Project Engineer, (Lead) Commissioning Engineer for various stages of projects. These stages included conceptual studies, tender reviews, basic engineering (FEED), detailed engineering, FAT/SAT, construction, (pre)commissioning planning/execution, start-up, modifications, upgrades, maintenance and operations. Currently his role is Power Operations Competency and Procedures Development Consultant.


Sebastian IYERE-OYEKPEN is from Iruekpen-Ekpoma, Edo State. He had his early education at Emaudo Primary and Secondary Schools. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Lagos and Master of Science Degree in Embedded Digital Systems, with Distinctions, from University of Sussex. Engineer Sebastian has been trained across the globe in Power Systems, Human resources, Safety, leadership and management roles. He is a registered professional with the prestigious UK Engineering Council and a member of the UK Institution of Engineering and Technology (CEng, MIET). 


Revd. Sebastian IYERE-OYEKPEN is of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Akoko Edo Diocese, Edo State. He is a published author/writer and a philanthropist. 

Revd Sebastian IYERE-OYEKPEN is the founder of a registered Nigerian charity organization (Pure Devotion Ministry – AKA Jamesone27) with presence and charity works across several locations in Nigeria.

I said it before that the so called car gift was a Greek gift and a scam, Mr Akpata brought Sienna vehicles to LABOUR PARTY secretariat saying he gifted them to the party in a bid to building the party. After presenting the vehicles, he took them back saying he needed to register them for the party. He REGISTERED the vehicles in the name of a company called ZOPAZ ADVISORY SERVICE, with an address in an apartment flat in 1004 Estate V.I Lagos, as against the name of Labour Party Edo State. ZOPAZ Advisory Service is owned by Olamide Anthony Akpata and Mr Adesola Joshua. Question No 2, amongst the document presented by Mr Akpata for each vehicle, he presented  photocopies of the  vehicles PROOF OF OWNERSHIP and held on to the original copy, Why give everyone the impression that you are gifting the vehicles in good faith in building the party when indeed you have ulterior motives just to sell yourself as wanting to build the party.
